The Centre of Excellence for Agri-Food Educational Resources and Sustainable Development offers new opportunities to adapt agricultural education to the competitive demands of today’s market

This year’s programme of activities kicked off on 17 March with an example of a blended learning approach in the horticulture sector at the open day dedicated to fruit cutting.

Held on the demonstration plots of the Dutch Orchard House set up at ICDP Pitesti Mărăcineni, the event brought together over 200 participants and the theoretical and practical activities carried out were guided by experts from both countries.

The event was addressed to pupils, students and teachers in agricultural education, farmers and entrepreneurs in the fruit sector as well as central and local authorities who play an active role in increasing the attractiveness of agricultural professions for the young generation.
