Knowledge

The Agricultural Education Portal supports cooperation, knowledge and good practices sharing between agricultural high schools, encouraging partnerships to stimulate innovation processes in agricultural education.
Pilot course ``Innovative methods for vocational education in agricultural high schools``

In February 2020, within the Romanian-Dutch Partnership for Agricultural Education, the first pilot course for Romanian high school teachers took place at the Cezar Nicolau Technological High School in Brănești Ilfov.

 

Topics related to the experience of cooperation with the business environment and the research sector, common elements but also innovative aspects of curricula as well as creative approaches to developing students’ practical skills in European mobility were addressed in an active dialogue between teachers from both countries.

We support the agricultural pre-university education

The FERMA Foundation and the experts Dr. eng. Leonard Constantin Stafie and Dr. Veterinary Radu Antohe initiated and carry out the project: “We support the pre-university agricultural education”. The project aims to facilitate the access of agricultural high schools to additional informational resources on practical and economically viable models to be used by students and teachers to particularize the theoretical foundations created by the curricula. The Romanian agricultural high schools included in the project receive access to learning resources and benefit from promotion in FERMA magazine, through articles published in print and online.

Talent for Romania

The Talent for Romania project is implemented by the “Actie Roemenië” Foundation active in several villages in the Sibiu area together with its educational partners from the Netherlands (Noordepoort, Alfa and Terra high schools). The project started 3 years ago with the aim of building an educational center to give rural children a chance at education, a safe learning environment, support and educational materials. The center is also used for after-school education by supporting children and their families.

Agricultural High Schools - local HUBs for the development of small and medium farms

The project Agricultural High Schools Local HUBs for the development of small and medium farms started in 2015 being supported by the Romanian American Foundation and implemented by a consortium of organizations active in the education sector.

The project aims to support agricultural high schools to provide educational programs relevant to the local economy, focusing on training future farmers and small and medium entrepreneurs in agriculture, by providing learning opportunities in practice and in close cooperation with the local community.

Agricultural Internship in the heart of Transylvania

At Tranisu, in the Apuseni Mountains, Carmen Todiță and Eelke Wiersma organize internships for levels 2 and 3 in the gardening profession. This school offers students an average level of training the opportunity to carry out practical activities in nature.

The challenge for the participant is to develop the appropriate skills and competencies in the landscape design sector in a local context benefiting from the expertise of Dutch teachers.
