The European Platform for Urban Greening (EPLUG) transnational project meeting occurred from April 21st to April 26th, 2024, in Bucharest, Romania, and included a visit to the Romanian Senate gardens where Uranus tulip bulbs were planted last year.

The transnational meeting sought to boost collaboration and innovation amongst European urban greening projects and initiatives.

The meeting included a series of indoor working sessions at LTCN, involving discussions on project objectives, student presentations on the International Urban Greening Week, and the introduction of the EPLUG Scale-Up Project. Outdoor sessions included exploration of the local geography of Brănești and LTCN’s outdoor training area. The following day concentrated on project outcomes, spin-off projects, and forthcoming events. Attendees also visited the Promenada project for an outdoor working session.

On the third day, activities took place at the Romanian Parliament, addressing topics such as intervision sessions, regional needs assessment, and quality assurance. Participants also toured the Parliament’s garden.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The final day offered an optional tour of Văcărești Natural Park, allowing participants to explore Bucharest’s natural spaces.
